EDUCATION

PhD Institute of Bioclimatology, University of Goettingen, Germany (2010)

My research focuses on the role that forest ecosystems play in the global carbon budget and the climate change. I investigate how the human activities and logging affect carbon sequestration and carbon emissions. My research also focuses on the estimations of biomass, carbon stocks and fluxes in the ecosystems in northern, temperate and tropical environments. I also use remote sensing and GIS to analyze carbon stocks, carbon distribution and also to minimize destruction of forests for biomass research purposes. My research also aims at promoting international development through exchange between Queen’s students and the students at Universities in Central Africa.
